Receive Food
We serve residents within the McFarland School District, treating all pantry guests with respect and confidentiality.
Pantry Hours
Mondays: 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Third Saturday of the Month: 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Who Do We Serve?
McFarland Community Food Pantry serves guests who live within the McFarland School District on an ongoing basis. New pantry guests must provide a photo ID and a current bill or lease reflecting your current address when completing your registration form. This information must also be provided annually.
How Often Can Guests Shop?
Pantry Guests are allowed to visit the food pantry as needed and can shop only for registered household members.
What If the Pantry Needs to Unexpectedly Close?
If the Pantry needs to close due to inclement weather or unforeseen/unusual circumstances, the Pantry phone will be updated along with a posting on the pantry doors. A posting will also be in the entrance of Homestead on Anthony Street, on the Pantry’s website and Facebook pages, and the online Thistle.
Park along the North (pantry-side) of Anthony Street. Remain in your vehicle (or if walking, please stop at the West/Main Street side of the building, socially distanced).
A volunteer will approach your vehicle and hand you a grocery list for your completion. Masks are required for when the volunteer approaches your vehicle and/or if you are waiting outside.
A volunteer will fulfill your list as requested. Please understand that quantities are limited and at times items will be unavailable.
A volunteer will load your groceries into your vehicle. If your vehicle is overcrowded, the groceries will be placed on the curb for you to load once the volunteer has moved away.
If you need alternative shopping for religious reasons or due to physical limitations or need assistance with shopping (including home delivery), please talk to the Pantry Manager.

Good Nutrition
The Pantry is committed to providing fresh, healthy and nutritious foods and household and personal essentials for Pantry guests. Our goal is to offer basic staples to support meal planning and preparation.
We support the health of Pantry guests by prioritizing the distribution of recommended USDA’s MyPlate foods and nutrients including fruits & vegetables, whole grains, a variety of protein, low-fat or no-fat dairy and milk products, and foods lower in sodium.

Low sugar, low sodium, fat-free and gluten free foods are always welcome. We also frequently need toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo and conditioner, dish soap and laundry soap (small containers).
If you are holding a food drive, please contact us for the most up to date listing of needs.

All food donations must be un-opened in their original packaging with current dating. Dented, rusted, or items show signs of leakage cannot be accepted. Frozen items are not accepted since we are unable to verify that they have been continually frozen.
